The Rotary Club of Voorschoten-Leidschendam made a donation destined to provide post-school activities for the youngsters of Wishi-Marchena.The Wishi-Marchena neighborhood is typified by above average incidence of poverty and single-parent families.

As a result many children are neglected at home and either take to the streets, or become couch potatoes. Either way their physical and intellectual development is stunted by the lack of nourishment for both body and soul.

RCW's Dutch sister club donated a sum of 2,000 Euro's intended for the purchase of books, toys and musical instruments. The funds were provided to the Fundashon Vincentius Kòrsou, the organization that has been serving the Wishi-Marchena for quite some time. Some of the materials acquired by the foundation using the Dutch Rotary Club's funds are on display on the photo's below.
